1. What Anxio is

Anxio is a platform that helps you find a licensed mental health professional ("expert") and book paid sessions with them by video, voice or chat. Anxio is not a hospital, a clinic, or an emergency service, and does not itself provide therapy, counselling or medical treatment — the experts you book with do, as independent licensed professionals.

Anxio is not equipped for emergencies. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest hospital. Our help now page lists crisis helplines available right now, free of a booking flow.

2. Eligibility and your account

• Anxio is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Accounts and bookings on behalf of children are not currently supported.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and booking sessions.

3. How matching works

Where matching is available, Anxio uses your description — together with AI-assisted and rules-based checks — to suggest an expert who may be a good fit. This suggestion is a starting point, not a guarantee of fit or outcome. You can browse other experts and choose differently at any time. Anxio's matching does not diagnose you, name a condition, or promise any particular result.

4. Experts on Anxio

• Every expert listed on Anxio has had their professional licence and qualifications verified before being listed.
• Experts are independent practitioners, not Anxio employees. The professional relationship and clinical judgment during a session are between you and your expert.
• Experts set their own availability and, within limits, their own session fees.
• Anxio may remove an expert from the platform for a verified complaint, a licensing issue, or a breach of our professional conduct standards.

5. Booking, payments and pricing

• All prices on Anxio are listed in Indian Rupees (₹) and shown before you confirm a booking.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay. Anxio does not store your card, UPI or bank account details.
• A session is confirmed only once payment is verified. A payment confirmation shown in your browser is not on its own proof of a confirmed booking — our server verifies it independently before your session is marked as booked.
• Receipts are issued for every successful payment and are available in your account.

6. Cancellations and refunds

• You may reschedule or cancel a session up to 24 hours before its start time for a full refund to your original payment method.
• Cancellations inside 24 hours of the session are non-refundable, except where the expert is unable to attend.
• If your expert cancels or does not show up, you will be offered a full refund or a free rebooking, your choice.
• Refunds are processed back to your original payment method through Razorpay and may take a few business days to reflect, depending on your bank.

7. Conduct during sessions

Sessions are held for your benefit and your expert's safety. Threats, harassment, or abusive behaviour toward an expert are grounds for immediate suspension without refund. Sessions are not recorded by Anxio; if your expert wishes to keep clinical notes, they will tell you.

8. Your content

What you write during intake and anything you share in a session remains yours. You grant Anxio only the limited right to process it for the purposes described in our privacy policy — principally, matching you with an expert and running your booking. We do not use it to train AI models.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Anxio for any unlawful purpose, or to impersonate another person.
• Attempt to access another user's account, data or sessions.
• Interfere with, probe, or attempt to bypass the platform's security.
• Resell, scrape, or commercially exploit content or listings on Anxio without our written permission.

10. Limitation of liability

Anxio facilitates the connection and booking between you and an independent expert; it is not a party to the clinical relationship and is not liable for the professional advice, diagnosis or treatment an expert gives you. To the extent permitted by Indian law, Anxio's liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid for the session giving rise to that claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, including for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

11. Suspending or closing your account

You can request account closure by contacting us. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. Closing your account cancels any upcoming unpaid bookings; paid bookings are handled under the cancellation terms above.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is material, we will notify you by email and update the date at the top of this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use Anxio after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
