If a call doesn’t connect

Try the alternate Tele-MANAS number or the other service above. Lines can be busy. If you cannot stay safe, call 112 or go to an emergency department rather than waiting for a helpline.

While you reach out

  • If you can, stay with someone you trust and tell them you need support.
  • Move away from anything you could use to hurt yourself, and ask someone to help make your surroundings safer.
  • You can start a call with: “I’m having a difficult time and I need someone to listen.” If you feel unsafe, tell them that first.
